Metrics - Custom Reports

Custom Reports under Apxor’s Metrics section help you build reports customised for various business metrics.

You can choose to view existing or edit reports, or build new reports from scratch based on your requirements.

Custom Reports

To Create a New Report

  • Step 1 : Choose an app version from the global version filter and select the date range from the time filter on top right of the dashboard.

  • Step 2 : Choose the metrics you want to view in the report. The available metrics are : Total Events, Users, and Sessions.

  • Step 3 : Choose the dimensions required for the report. These dimensions include all properties of events, users and sessions. The order of the dimensions is important as the drill down of the data in the same order.

Example: If you want to filter the the users who reside in Delhi, then select the metrics as Users and add a dimension “City”.

To further filter these set of users, click on Add Filter. You can include or exclude a set of users with a specific property \ value or a search for a pattern in the property value using regular expressions. To do this, you must enter the pattern you are searching for between ^ and $ and select the regex option. You can add any number of filters here.

Example: If you want to include metrics of users who signed up via any of the facebook campaigns, you can use the regex option and type in facebook. You will now get a list of selected metrics that include any of the facebook campaigns.

  • Step 4 : Now, click on update to view the report. You can also save the report or delete it by clicking on the icons shown.

  • Step 5 : Choose between Explorer and Flat Table models to view your data.

Explorer Tab lets you click on the dimensions to drill down in the order in which the dimensions were chosen.

You can also search for any specific dimension using the search bar.

The Flat Table Tab presents all of the dimensional data in single row.

The report can be directly added to the dashboard for easier access. This can be done by clicking on the Add to Dashboard Icon.

The report can also be downloaded as a CSV file to share across teams.

Exporting Custom Cohorts

You can now download Cohorts and User Data with various dimensions. They can be based on behavior, filtered based upon attributes and also based on impressions. This feature lets you use Data on to your other integrations for further analysis and for marketing automation and campaigns

Type 1: Downloading data in any dimension you want

Step 1: Choose the conditions and dimensions of your report.

Step 2: After loading the custom report, click on the download icon available on the top right corner of the table.

Step 3: Navigate to the Downloads Section in Settings Page and click on the download icon to get the downloaded CSV file.

Type 2: Downloading User IDs for external usage or creating Custom Cohorts

Step 1: Choose custom_user_id as the dimension.

Step 2: Select other conditions like date range, cohort, version, etc. and click Update button.

You can see list of custom_user_ids who satisfy your given preferences.

Step 4: Now download the custom_user_ids list using the download button in the top right corner of the table.

Now, you can use these to create custom cohorts by following further instructions here.

Type 3: Downloading Cohorts of users exhibiting specific behaviors

Step 1: Import the cohort that you have created from Segments or Funnels.

Step 2: Select Users in the Metrics Section and the user ID used to track for your use in dimensions.

Step 3: Click Update.

Step 4: You can now download this Report which contains the IDs of users who fall under the cohort you have selected.
